The Bad News
After nearly 10 years of trying, the US
government has passed a ban on internet gambling...... sort of.
As of October 9, 2006 it is illegal to
transmit money from a player to a gambling site operator so internet
gambling sites have been closing the accounts of their US players.
The Good News
Now for some good news.
An individual who resides in
the US is still free to participate in online gambling. Yes, you
heard me right,
American players are still free
to gamble online legally and not worry about federal prosecution.
How is that possible you ask? Well, the
bill focuses on the financial transaction and the transmission of the
money from the player to the gambling site so in essence, the US credit
card companies and banks etc are the ones who are truly effected by
this new law.
So, how do you get around it?
With the US government arresting the CEO's of internet gambling
companies, they are understandably a little nervous and not willing to
take any chances with their freedom, so they are banning US players from
gambling online. That means some of your favorite casinos will no
longer take your money.
Even More Good News
There are some casinos that are still
accepting US players and we have a list of them. Choose anyone of them
below and play with full confidence that you are not breaking any law.
